Arsene Wenger, Arsenal manager insisted that the injury of skipper Cesc Fabregas would not continued before Wednesday's 2-2 draw with Barcelona.
Reports have imposed that Fabregas may have started the Champions League tie with a broken leg sustained in a heavy tackle against Birmingham on Saturday. But Wenger totally disagreed with this rumour.
He strongly and confidently said, "That is not true. We had two independent doctors clarify the bone was OK." He also continued "It was a bruised bone, but not broken - I am 100% confident."
When he got an 85th-minute penalty after colliding with Barca centre-back Carles Puyol, the Spain international midfielder had the injury.
The extent of the injury was uncovered by a scan on Thursday and exhibited that he would be out of field for at least six weeks.
"The referee was stood only two yards away and did not even give a free-kick."
