FIFA World Cup ticket prices






FIFA's cut prices of ticket for South Africans in this agreement that the hosts will fill the sit of stadiums during first World Cup in Africa in June, according to the media reports on Saturday.

According to the Saturday Star, FIFA has decreased the price of at least 30 percent of the 3 million category 2 and 3 tickets costing to 840 rand ($A122) to 140 rand ($AU21).

The decreased number of category 4 tickets taken or reserved specially for South Africans will be risen. It was cited in a FIFA announcement.











The organising committee of local FIFA could not be reached to confirm the announcement.

Local fans and supporters has reveal the unhappiness about the high price of tickets and the process of rigid online application, which has resulted the low sales of tickets in the country.











On Thursday FIFA chief Sepp Blatter said he was anxious that ticket prices were daunting away fans and supporter for the world's largest sporting event and asked tour operators to cut costs so that stadiums in South Africa would be filled fully with all type of fans.
